Help me give my students a novel study bookstore and some much-needed classroom resources and decor to help make our class more comfortable and welcoming.
Please help me build our novel study bookstore! This will be my second year in 5th grade and am planning on incorporating as many novel studies as possible this school year. Even though my students read every day throughout our curriculum, they are not necessarily reading whole stories or reading for pleasure and imagination. Novel studies will encourage them to read independently and to build their stamina with a story from beginning to end.
I also added some much-needed classroom decor and resources to my 'wish list.' I worked all year to add warmth and coziness to my classroom.
By adding more recessed lighting and sheer curtains to highlight our windows I am hoping to make my room even more welcoming.
