Help me give my students books to learn about the world and enjoy a great story.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The purpose of this project is to provide a good library to our students for their intellectual nourishment and growth. We hope that this initiative will bring a core change in our area as far as the intellectual development of their learning.
The benefits of reading go far beyond learning to read.
Books also help children build empathy and learn how to handle challenging feelings. Reading for pleasure can benefit a child’s education, social and cognitive development, their wellbeing, and their mental health.
Not every child has the opportunity to travel and reading allows them to be transported from our own world to another. Between the pages of a book, they can become immersed in the lives of fictional characters and learn about a culture entirely different from our own.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
