A Rainbow of Books for My Young Readers!

Help me give my students the chance to fall in love with books during their very first school experience. Books such as “a little spot” will be read to students and explored by them every day.

My Project

My students are bright, curious, and full of wonder. They are Transitional Kindergarteners who are just beginning their school journey. Many of them are English learners and come from a variety of backgrounds. This year is their first experience with structured learning, and I want to make it joyful, safe, and inspiring—starting with books.

My project is to build a classroom library that’s inviting, developmentally appropriate, and exciting for early readers.

I want to give my TK students access to engaging picture books, alphabet and number stories, books about feelings, and stories with diverse characters. These books will be used for daily read-alouds, quiet reading, and center time exploration.

Right now, our classroom has no bookshelves and no books. With your help, we can turn a quiet corner into a magical place filled with color, characters, and connection. Books will help my students build language, practice listening, and fall in love with reading.
