This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special because of their motivation to learn. All of my students are excited to learn about any content presented to them. They eagerly participate, ask questions, and work hard to focus on whatever subject I am teaching.
The students I work with are from an urban setting and they come from diverse backgrounds.
Many students I work with speak more than one language and have lived in other countries besides the United States. The diverse backgrounds of my students creates a unique learning environment where students can learn from each others differences.
My Project
I am currently a special education teacher who provides students with data based interventions in reading, writing, and math. I am in need of a horseshoe table where my students can participate with myself at the center of the table.
Having a horseshoe table will allow me to be at the center of my students instruction.
I will be able to provide students with immediate feedback and explicit instruction in a different way. A single piece of furniture can make a world of difference.
This table will be a great addition to my classroom for cooperative learning, reading support , and assessment.
