My students are creative, curious, and full of energy. They come from diverse backgrounds and often face challenges outside of school, but they show up every day ready to learn and grow. To better support their emotional and academic needs, I am creating a quiet corner where they can take a break, refocus, or calm down when they feel overwhelmed.
With your support, I hope to add a bean bag chair, cozy pillows, and a small bookshelf filled with mindfulness and self-regulation books to our quiet corner.
These items will help turn a small area of our classroom into a safe space where students can reset and return to learning with a clearer mind. My goal is for every student to know they have a place to pause, breathe, and feel supported so they can fully engage with their education.
