This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds. They range from low-income families to homes where parents are trying their best to raise their children in a neighborhood that has gang-related problems daily. There are students who are separated from their parents and live with either a foster family or a relative. Either way, they come to class eager to learn, which is why I wouldn't want anything more but to enhance their excitement for education through games and materials.
My Project
Having a printer in our own classroom would be such a benefit to my students and me. This will mean that I do not have to juggle my time with others who use the communal office printer.
Instead, not only myself but my students as well will have access to a printer in the classroom.
It is always so neat to see my students' reactions when they have worked so hard on writing and have them celebrate by seeing their accomplished piece typed out. They truly feel like they are an author seeing their work on printed paper.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
