Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Remember when teachers were limited to teaching straight out of the book and, if they were lucky, with a slide projector? Those days are long gone, and my students deserve a 21st century education.
My school is predominantly composed of Latinos and African Americans from socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods.
Many of my students will be the first in their families to graduate high school and the first to attend college. They are also smart, funny, insightful, and the hope and the future of a better tomorrow.
My Project
Technology is an important part of learning in today’s classroom for preparation of language and exposure to college readiness. A multimedia projector will allow the teacher to prepare rigorous PowerPoint presentations of various topics for student learning. At the same time, students will also have an opportunity to present projects to their peers and get a feel for college-level presentations.
Students learn in a variety of ways, but they learn best through visuals, and an LCD projector in the classroom will provide students with this learning advantage.
Your donation will directly affect student learning in ways unimaginable.
