Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students I work with are K-2 English Language Learner students who come from countries ranging from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Ecuador, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Yemen.
I am honored to be their teacher and want to give them the best education I can possibly give them.
They are eager students who have the love of learning and motivation needed to inspire them. Many don't have the necessary advantage that other students do because of their economic background and lack of resources.
My Project
The use of a wireless printer in a class can be such a useful tool for students and teachers. It not only enhances students' ability to see their writing published into real books but students are able to communicate their spoken language into print which enhances their language skills and boosts their self-esteem and inspires them to become avid writers.
Having a printer also helps students in a class and would also be an asset in making a teacher's job a bit easier by not having to wait days to get copies done at schools.
Extra resources can be printed geared to specific student needs and it can also be used for those last minute reminders that need to be sent to parents to inform them of special school events.
Furthermore, the printer can also be used for labeling the classroom, organizing the library with printed bold words which can help students and teachers find things easier in the classroom. It will help make the library become more inviting by allowing you to type words and pictures that go with the specific library book.
