Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Please help us get a printer and ink for our classroom!
I am an elementary school kindergarten teacher in a high needs school in New York.
This year is my second year as an educator at my school. I teach approximately 15 kindergarten students in a general education classroom.
My students come from an area that was highly impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Most of my students were without heat, water, power, and food for almost a week. Some are still without heat.
My Project
A classroom must have a fully functioning printer in order to create items to enhance students' learning, provide students with practice, and communicate with parents. In order to do all of this, my class needs a printer and ink, lots and lots of ink.
No school year is as important as kindergarten!
This is the year that will shape a child's attitude about school and about learning. Making it the most positive and nurturing experience is a way to insure that these children will continue to love learning and strive to do their best in school.
It is essential that students have access to a variety of learning materials. By supporting this project, you are helping to unlock the many resources that will be printed for my students this year.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
