This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love teaching 20 inquisitive bilingual kinder kids who are learning in two languages. They are so full of life, love and happiness! My students come to school eager to learn through hands-on activities. The school they attend is classified as a Title I school - therefore most of them are "at-risk students." All of them qualify to participate in the free breakfast and lunch programs. The community in which they live in is stricken by a high level of poverty. The majority of my students come to school with minimal computer skills. They have had few opportunities to work with a laptop or computer. Therefore, I have embarked on a mission to provide my wonderful students with as many literacy and computer experiences as possible so they can learn lifelong skills for success.

My Project

I am requesting an HP Printer and 5 headphones to help my students become 21st century learners. I would like for my students to be able to successfully navigate their way on the laptop and to be able to print their work that they do on Windows and Excel. My students will be able to use the printer all throughout the school day. The printer would also be used for class lessons and to print out their work from Reading Programs they use daily.

A donation to this project will put current, age appropriate technology right into the hands of my young eager learners.

An HP Printer and headphones will help these youngsters to become 21st century learners and develop skills that they will need to be successful in their everyday lives.
