This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to pretend play and make things for their teachers. We need a kitchen set, food, and accessories for our Dramatic Play Center for my students to use their creativity to make meals for their classmates, dolls and staff. The children can pretend to make a birthday cake or bake something for someone in the class. When we do our beach and get ready for summer theme they can create ice cream. They can create healthy meals using the fruits and vegetables. They can use the appliances to make toast, to use for baking and making smoothies and coffee. These materials will help my students develop language when talking about what they are making. They can share their experience of cooking with family members. They can work on turn taking when using the materials with peers.
