My Students
Our program serves children 3-5 years old from the surrounding community. Several of our students are dual language learners. Children learn in a variety of different ways, which includes a lot of hands on activities. Our students are active, excited, and engaged with the learning experiences we provide them. It is so fun to be apart of these students' first experience with a school setting. We play, dance, discover, explore, and learn every day.
My Project
This project will fund a refresh of our classroom library. The books selected are fun, engaging, and will provide our children with new vocabulary.
There are books listed that fit into our current themes in our curriculum, which will help expand on these themes and provide our students with a rich learning experience.
There are also books that are centered on social emotional skills, that our children need to be successful in Kindergarten and in life. There are silly books, such as "Dragons Love Tacos" that children will love to hear over and over again, and will help them develop a love of reading.
Books are a foundational tool needed in every classroom and home for children to experience and enjoy.
