Our school continues to improve supports for our students in ways that promote self-regulation.
Since the COVID pandemic this has become more important than ever and we want to provide every resource we can to help all of our students. Everyone needs a moment sometimes, to sit and rest, recuperate and reflect. The calming corner desk we've selected is moveable, foldable, and can be written on with dry-erase markers. It's the perfect item to set up our calming corner in our shared, multipurpose counseling office. Additionally, a wide variety of sensory, calming materials have been selected to provide activities that encourage self-regulation for any student who needs this space--and that's everyone, sometimes!
