My Project
My students love to learn and they do it so much better when their learning is hands-on. They are at their best when they are not only keeping their minds busy, but their bodies as well.
These items will allow us to not only learn, but, have fun while doing it.
We are requesting a lot of games and hands-on activities to keep our minds and bodies busy all while learning, but, also having fun and enjoying learning too. These games will help with skills such as fine motor, math, reading, sorting, daily living, and transition skills, which are all skills that we work on, on a daily basis. These skills help us prepare better for life after graduation.
My goals for this project are to teach skills and help reach goals that have been set for each individual student, through play.
My students are so special and unique in their own way. My students are all special needs and have an array of disabilities, but as I always say, we focus on their abilities. Each student has a set of goals each year ranging from reading and math to daily living and transition skills. They all learn very differently and with these resources, they will each be able to find several games and/or tasks to help reach their goals, all while having fun doing it!
