My students need a writing center to help them learn how to write.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Smirk's classroom raised $385

My Students
The Common Core Standards have raised the bar for students and teachers. Making sure my students are ready for Kindergarten is a top priority. Getting them writing would be a great achievement.
There are 18 energetic three and four-year-old children in my class.
Our school includes students from Pre-k to eighth grade. It is in a high poverty area, and about 95% of the students in the school receive free lunch. Our school is in a low-income neighborhood, where the budget cuts have left no hope that materials will be purchased in the near future.
My Project
I am requesting a writing center table for my classroom. This writing center has a surface for the students to write on and cubby holes for all of the fun materials I have in my writing center. In this center students will have a place to practice forming letters, drawing pictures and to write notes.
Learning how to write is now an important part of Pre-K, but I still want them to do it in a fun and stress free way.
This writing center will give my Pre-K students a place to do that.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
