Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a fabulous group of fifth graders. They enjoy all subjects, but have a serious love for science.
I'm asking for a mini fridge to help store science materials.
For example, one of my science units has to do with apples and the selection process. Why are there so many types of apples? What can we do to create a new kind of apple? These are all questions we will be covering.
One of the fun activities that go with this unit is apple tasting. I will cut up several types of apples for students to taste. With this mini fridge, students will get cold crisp apples to sample and enjoy.
