Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have a primary autism diagnosis and speech and language disabilities. My students are industrious, creative and extremely curious, they explore by taking things apart and putting them back together again.
Having a classroom couch would facilitate the thing they need the most, social interactions and getting to know and understand one another.
As industrious as my students are, I would love for them to seek one another in cooperation and exploration while interacting with one another. Having them seat close to one another, it is my hope that they get to know one another and interact using their communication devices, books, and fidgets.
