My Students

I will start my first year of teaching fourth grade to a wonderful and creative group of boys and girls at a Title I school. They are excited to learn and come to school each day. It is important to ensure that children enjoy learning. Throughout the learning experience of each student, it is important that they continue the motivation to grow in their learning. They will take their joy of learning into the next grade and beyond. Therefore, they need all the necessary materials that will make them successful, independent, and confident learners. With your help, this can continue.

My Project

A new group of 9-10 years old fourth grade students will come through the door in a few short months, and I want to be prepared. Having the right materials is crucial. For my new classroom, I want my students to be able to have a calm, comfortable place to sit where they can have their own space so that they can focus and learn.

This carpet has calming colors that will help students to stay focused on the task at hand.

It is so important for students to feel comfortable and welcomed into their classroom so that they can focus. Students will benefit from having a calming carpet in the classroom by making our space feel more inviting. A unified carpet area makes everyone feel included although this carpet is special because it has spaces designed for students to still have personal space in an individual square. The individual spaces will help my students who have a hard time staying in one place know where their space begins and ends. This carpet will help to bring the right atmosphere to my new classroom!
