My Project

In our learning lab, students come not only to grow academically but also to build emotional regulation, independence, and a love of learning.

The materials in this project will help me create a well-rounded environment that supports both academic goals and social-emotional development.

The Amazon Echo will serve as a multifunctional tool—playing calming music during quiet work times, setting timers for transitions, and answering student questions to spark curiosity. Storage bins, trays, and pencil organizers will help students keep our space tidy and accessible, allowing them to take ownership of their materials and responsibilities.

Fun, hands-on items like key chains, squishies, and Play-Doh will be used as incentives, fidgets, brain breaks for students who need sensory support or emotional resets throughout the day. Board games will help students practice cooperation, communication, and critical thinking in a low-pressure, engaging way. The classroom calendar will help build routine and anticipation for upcoming events, giving students structure and consistency.

Each of these items plays a small but powerful role in making our learning lab a safe, joyful, and organized space where students feel calm, confident, and excited to learn. Thank you for helping us build that environment together!
