This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are an energetic, chatty bunch who love to work with each-other. There are times where they flourish in independent work, but there are many instances where they ask to work in groups or move their learning onto the rug. I want to give them a comfortable space where they can fully be present in their education and learn to collaborate with each-other, all the while having a place that can double as a break zone for them. From brain breaks to reading sessions, math lessons to writing groups, a rug is a place where students can do it all.
