Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I'm requesting will help my students with special needs find a safe place to control their emotions. This room will be used daily for our students with emotional and cognitive disabilities who are unable to regulate their behavior and impulses.
This sensory room will help my students calm themselves down when feeling distressed and overwhelmed.
They will be able to manage their stress and focus on learning to cope with their difficult emotions. My students have unique needs that they struggle to overcome every day, which makes them resilient.
