Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My group of TK students are vivacious, eager learners. To meet their various learning styles, they require hands-on experiences. Setting up an age-appropriate space is an important element in making our school year successful.

New library bookshelves and bookcases at my students' height will allow easy access to our math manipulatives and reading books.

I plan to create a setting that is both accessible and welcoming so that my students can make independent choices and take ownership of their learning.

The small library bookshelves will hold the appropriate amount of books, not to overwhelm them with choices, and each book cover will be ready to look through. The long bookshelf will allow me to organize various learning toys and games within arm's reach. The bookshelves with cubbies will not only hold our math manipulatives, but they will also assist in separating centers by creating a division between our science and blocks centers.

I can't wait to welcome my little group of learners with an age-appropriate classroom.
