Help me give my students a more comfortable space to snuggle up with a good book.

My Project
Third grade is known as a tough transition. We don't think about it much, but in third grade is when we transition from "Learning to Read," to "Reading to Learn." Reading is so important to the progress that our students make as they develop and grow. Yet, so many students do not enjoy reading and so they never really embrace the joy of reading.
I believe that a classrooms aesthetic and environment contributes to student success.
I try to pay special attention to lighting, colorful items on the wall, and carpets that invite students to sit on them. This attention to the classroom helps to set the tone for learning and (hopefully) enjoying school.
My students have always enjoyed our reading nook and choose to not only pleasure read there, but also use that space for small group work. This has caused the area to get some wear and tear. A little something new would help to continue student enjoyment of this space.
