Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you image how great it would be if each child had their own personal library? The books in their personal library would be those at his/her independent and instructional levels. Can you imagine the difference that would make?
My students live in the inner-city.
They attend a title 1 school in South Central, Laos Angeles. They consider school like their second home and love learning new things daily. They live in the most modest of ways, with just the bare minimum. They all qualify for federally funded lunches and for many books and school supplies are a luxury. My students really want to prosper and be the best that they possibly can. They come to school to work hard and overcome their difficulties. They know with a good education they can make a difference in the lives of their parents.
My Project
I am requesting See & Store Book Pouch so that each student can store books that are their particular independent and instructional reading level. Having a place where they have their individual set of books will benefit them during universal access time. Students will have at their finger tips the books that they will practice and learn from close by and in an organized manner. In addition, I am requesting At-Your-Seat Storage Sack so that students can store everyday materials such as notebooks, practice books, and textbooks so that during class time when we transition from one subject to the next students have all their materials organized. The use of the At- Your- Seat-Storage-Sack will help minimize lost instructional time due to students not finding the right books. My students also need Best-Buy book bags to take books home each day to continue reading at home.

Having See & Store Book Pouch will help each students keep books at their instructional and independent reading level together and ready to use. Also the At-your- seat-storage- sacks will help keep students organized and reduce transition time from one subject area to the next. In addition the Best-Buy Book bags will help students carry their books home daily to continue their learning .
