My students need the storage cart to help them organize their reading, writing and math centers and learning games that they have gotten through Donors Choose.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
You know how nice it feels to have all of your things at home or office organized? I want my little first graders to feel that same way.
My little first graders are from the inner city.
We serve a low income community rich of so many cultures. We receive 100% free lunch. My students rush to school so happy to be there and are so eager to learn. Despite everything that is going on in their homes, they come in and are so excited to start learning.
My Project
I am requesting a storage cart in order for my kids to store all of the games, and learning centers that we have been funded. Currently, our classroom does not have any built in storage closet, or shelves. My kids have all their learning activities on the floor, and a spare desk stacked on each other. When my students go to use a game or learning activity, the have to move the whole pile and go searching for the one they want/need. At times they spill their games, and then we have to spend more time cleaning up.
The storage cart will allow my little first graders easy access at their hands level. This will allow us to put little labels on each drawer so they know what activity is inside. Easy to use and easy to store. Not to mention, it would be nice for them not to have their things on the floor.
I always try to give my little ones a place that they can feel proud of when they step into our classroom.
Having a neat and organized classroom is huge, despite their environment at home. Please help me give them an organized space everyday. Your help will get our games off the floor, and into their little hands.
