A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Help me give my students an end of the year gift they will always remember and treasure!

My Project

Every group of students I have ever had the privilege of teaching is special and I love to provide them with a special, meaningful gift at the end of the school year.

My goal is to send them off with a gift that lets them know that no matter where they go or what they do in life, that they are IMPORTANT and someone is always there to love and support them.

I want to give my students a gift that is meaningful and wouldn’t be tossed aside and hopefully remembered.

I plan to read the book "Agate: What Good is a Moose". It explains about how everyone is special and unique in their own right and not to compare ourselves with others. I plan to talk about the lessons from the book and then show the class an uncut agate. We will talk about our character and how that is the most important thing I want them to develop the rest of their lives.

Afterwards, each student will be given a framed "special traits" artwork and framed class photo to take home to always remember their special time with us as a classroom family.
