A Photo Celebration of Students

My students need a digital photo printer and photo paper to showcase their individuality and work in the classroom.

My 23 language-learners need your help as they grow and learn to express themselves. In our young dual-language program, students support each other's language development as bilinguals and monolinguals of French and English. These 1st graders are learning to be kind, helpful, and respectful of one another.

This year, the students will be strengthening a sense of self through community-building activities in the context of school, family, city, and across anglophone and francophone cultures. First, they must ask themselves: Who am I? What is important to me?

In the classroom, with photos of students prominently displayed, students will be proud to see themselves working and playing with friends. As they begin a process of inquiry about families and communities, students will be able to take pictures of the unique facets of their family members and neighborhood; these photos will allow students to showcase what makes their communities, and themselves, unique.

You will make it possible for my students to celebrate themselves and all that makes them special every day.
