My Students
I teach at a Title 1 school where over 50% of students come from low income families. These families work hard to provide everything their students need. Some families are still unable to make ends meet and our amazing school community is there to provide any support and as much help as possible.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds, culture, religions and socioeconomic statuses and are able to create an amazing classroom community full of support, connection and respect.
It is amazing to watch my students find common ground in the classroom. Being able to provide a safe, inclusive, and calm environment for my students to learn and grow is vital to their learning and futures.
My Project
The students in my classroom are all different and have a variety of learning needs. By providing a variety of seating options, I can give students the chance to find a seating option that allows them the best chance to concentrate. Not all students learn best in a traditional desk and chair. Wobble stools, floor desks and even special wobble feet give students a variety of choices and allow students to find the perfect fit.
When students are comfortable in their environment and have a seating option that engages them, they can learn more, achieve their goals and enjoy school.
