Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For our end-of-year social studies project, our 3rd graders will each present one of the 50 states on a poster. Being in a Title I school, many of our students are unable to access the necessary supplies to participate.
In order to give each student the opportunity to create a project they feel proud to show off, my goal is to give them access to the materials they need!
I am able to supply just a few resources such as glue, scissors, and construction paper. In this project, I have requested poster boards, paint markers, informational books, and passports to record facts as we "travel" the 50 states! If fulfilled, this project would reach two homeroom classes and would provide a learning experience that will stay with our students for years to come. This will not be possible without your generosity. Any donations would be incredibly appreciated!
