"Everyone has different talents, different styles and different talents". - Harry Shum Jr. This quote defines the students in my class. With a class of 23 third graders, they all have different talents. They are all unique in their own way, and they all learn and communicate in their own ways.
The 23 students in my class all have their own special personalities.
They are always lively and ready to learn and engage in lessons. When you walk into the class you are greeted with smiles, chatter and happiness. They enjoy hands-on learning, and being able to work and teach their classmates what they know.
My Project
The new students in my classroom will use the supplies provided in order to have a morning meeting. Morning meetings are an important part of a school day because it sets a tone for the day. It brings the class together as one to listen to each other's stories, creates trust in one another, and sets a standard for the learning environment within the classroom.
The morning meeting is essential to bringing the class together.
This meeting includes a greeting, sharing, a whole group activity, and announcements.
The easel will help to provide a schedule for the day, as well as help to establish classroom procedures or thoughts on certain topics. The calendar will help to keep students up-to-date and on track. The pocket charts will also be used for whole group activities. Lastly, the rugs will be used for students to keep their individual space.
