Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious and enthusiastic students! We are in a kinder/1st grade combo Korean bilingual class where students learn from each other and grow together as a community.

The majority of my students are English language learners with a lot of great ideas and endless potential.

They come from hardworking families and bring values and assets to our classroom. In our Korean dual-language program, students receive language and content instruction in two languages, Korean and English.

Our school is a Title I school, and 88% of the families in our school are socioeconomically disadvantaged. I hope to provide resources that inspire classroom engagement, problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity!

Many of my students will just be beginning or have just started their educational journey. I hope to spark a passion for learning for each child and provide a safe space for them.

My Project

I need a PC laptop to teach, create lesson plans, explore, research, and prepare techniques and strategies towards teaching reading, writing, and math and work to help build comprehension skills. I have a MacBook laptop that is given by my school, but there are certain programs and features that make planning and creating resources difficult. Since I am familiar with using a PC, it would save my time greatly and make my work more efficient

Having a laptop would help me develop tools and spreadsheets to be more efficient, organize data and resources, and easily develop and modify templates and other materials.

This laptop will be used to create lessons that help students virtually as we start to transition back to in-person learning. My students deserve the best education possible, this laptop will help me provide that education
