My dream is to have a one-to-one classroom. My students love technology. Chromebooks allow my students to have more access to their Google apps for ed accounts, which in turns allows them to write, create, design, and express themselves.
I teach 6th-grade core, at a small middle school, in Northern California.
My students, like kids in this generation, are digital natives. They can do so much more when given the tools that are becoming necessary, in today's age of education. These students need the access to computers at school.
My Project
I love Chromebooks, because they allow for seamless use in google docs, as part of my students' google apps for education accounts. With these Chromebooks, my students will be able to write essays, create websites, design infographics, and produce videos. The small tablet makes it easy for students to take pictures and video, to upload to their projects.
My classroom and students' learning experience will improve, the more I am able to give them assignments and projects that allow them to do so much more than they would be able to with pen and paper.
Technology allows students to expand and further their learning in so many ways.
