it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am reaching out to you with an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on my students' education. As a teacher working with English Language Learners (ELLs), I strive to create an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can succeed. To achieve this, I’ve launched a project on DonorsChoose to gather the resources my students need to thrive.
The project includes:
1. A Cubby Classroom Storage Cabinet ($429) – This cabinet will help us stay organized and ensure that every student has a dedicated space to store their personal belongings, learning materials, and supplies. A tidy, organized classroom reduces stress and promotes a focused learning environment.
2. A $400 Gift Card for Teachers Pay Teachers – This will allow me to purchase a full year of curriculum tailored to English Language Learners. These resources are designed to meet their unique needs, making language learning more accessible, engaging, and effective.
Why this matters:
My classroom is made up of hardworking students who are learning English and striving to succeed in a new language. They face challenges that native English speakers might not encounter, but with the right support, they are more than capable of overcoming these obstacles. The resources I am requesting will help bridge that gap, offering them the tools they need to grow and succeed academically.
