Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year has been year full of new experiences as my recently immigrated students navigate their own journeys to becoming successful students in the United States. Due to the recent changes in their environment my students have have had to face many mental and emotional challenges. In spite of all of this, they have shown so much resilience, creativity and academic growth. We are now at the final push where students will show what they have learned all year in a final project!

My students will have to challenge their minds as they develop, analyze, research and present an argumentative essay on the impact of climate change and natural disasters on the ecosystems.

This project is multi-disciplinary requiring them to use the skills they used in STEM and English classes. Due to rigor of this project I would like to provide students with nutritional items to fuel their minds to think critically. I would also need posters boards that students will use to present their finally projects to their families.
