This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A classroom rug is very important in Transitional Kindergarten because we start and end our day on our classroom rug.
Students listen to stories on the rug, engage in academic conversations, and participate in social emotional learning.
This rug will be new, bright, and inviting and will help promote a good learning environment for current and future students. Unfortunately our current rug is too big for our classroom and does not leave a lot of space for students to explore interest areas. It is also has seen better days and is very worn. It would mean a lot to me and my students if we could have a new one!
