This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are high energy and hopeful students. They are very hands-on learners and have dreams of achieving different things in life. They live in a low income community and attend a Title I school. All the students are bilingual, speaking languages such as English, Spanish and Arabic.

Although they face constant hardships at home on a daily basis, my students see school as a place that will take them far and wide to conquer their dreams.

I call them are my 4th grade dreamers.

My Project

Our 4th grade students are curious and adventurous individuals. They have been introduced to coding online and have picked up a love or it. The students love for coding have lead them to want to explore various aspects of of it. I was able to purchase a couple of Dash's by Wonderworks.

This iPad Air will allow the students that are coming to in person school to be able to experience coding a robot.

Through downloading the app they will be able to move and command it through code.

My students will obtain an opportunity to look beyond borders and gain more insight on a profession that currently doesn't reflect them. This iPad will them experience a different way to code that will keep them curious and wanting to learn and pursue this new love.
