This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Today during these uncertain times prekindergarten teachers, as well as all other grade levels, are teaching from home. We teach using forms of communication like phone calls and emails to stay in touch with our students daily. Students want to return to school to continue their basic skill building and social emotional skill building as well. Right now we cannot return to school and I want to give basic school supply materials to meet my students' everyday learning needs.
My Project
Students today are learning from home. Because families are experiencing hardships, they may not have the necessary basic school supplies at home to continue learning at home.
I want to give my students necessary basic school supplies to continue brain storming thoughts on paper why they think the world around them.
My students do not have basic school supplies at home to practice their reading and writing skills. Writing begins with forming letters which leads to reading letters and forming words. I would to give my students basic school supplies to meet them at their needs which in time will help them meet their basic skill set of writing maybe their own book one day.
My students would love to receive the needed materials to help them reach their full potential as Prekindergartens transitioning to Kindergarten.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
