it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I know the challenges my students face both in and out of the classroom every day. My students are dedicated agents of change who are constantly willing to be challenged. My students rise to every artistic challenge and thrive through opportunities that mend their academic grit with creativity through the performing arts.
My students are dedicated young individuals who are driven by the performing arts.
Through dance, my students are given the opportunity to create, perform, respond, and connect dance to their everyday lives in order for personal growth. With your support, my students will be able to experience and thrive through a quality performing arts education.
My Project
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our donors and school community, we have been in receipt of various dance costumes, shoes, props and additional resources for our dance department. Unfortunately, we are constantly running out of space. At the moment, we have several resources without a safe home.
The safe storage of these dance resources will ensure they can be used for years to come.
In this project, I am asking for interlocking foam tiles to floor the storage shed donated in a previous project. This shed houses our dance team and performing arts resources and provides us with ample space to safely store current and future dance donations.
