This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This school year, I have been blessed with a very enthusiastic bunch of second graders who are eager to learn. The only thing that seems to stand in their way is the label of being economically challenged. Not having adequate finances often keeps my students from having sufficient class materials, money for field trips, and sometimes it even prevents them from having reading or class materials to take home to complete assignments.
My scholars deserve the opportunity to be the best they can be in all that they do, no matter their economic or social status.
My Project
2nd grade is filled with lots of learning, working and writing. Each day students have new material they need to be able to see, touch and engage with.
Having a mobile easel will make sure that no matter what way they are facing in the classroom, they will be able to see the white board.
The white boards that we have now are not student friendly and they are not easy for students to see based on where they are sitting in the classroom. Having this new easel, will allow me to be able to move it to whatever part of the classroom that I am teaching from.
