My Students
The students in our room are enrolled at an elementary school in Reno, Nevada. The culture of our school is special, and students maintain a high level of academic achievement, gain ample opportunities to work with the arts and have built a pretty amazing culture over the last 50 years.
In our room, students work hard and strive to be on a path to college, career and civic readiness.
All students enjoy working with challenging and complex materials that ensure academic and social success.
My Project
This project is about ensuring my new classroom has all of the tools required to elevate student outcomes. This includes making sure all of the technology in the room can "talk" to what is available; including the printer, Activboard and laptops. Similarly, surfaces need to be transformed to collaborative spaces for students to use.
A classroom should feel like a space that students can construct knowledge in.
Your donation would allow for this. Surfaces, such as cabinets, doors, and bookcases will become areas that students can collaborate and share thinking. Likewise, your donation will ensure that the room's "blackbox" can be used with all of the devices in the room including Chromebooks and iPads.
