it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me create a calming corner in our classroom for students to regulate their feelings, relax, deep breath, and read. They need a bean bag to perform these tasks in a cozy, safe way. They also use fidgets to relieve stress and manage symptoms from ADHD. We also need stools for our small group meeting area to engage in discussions and center work in literacy and math. Right now students do not have access to these items, and they are dragging their noisy, heavy chairs distracting each other.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices.

My learners have varied learning styles and needs. Some of my students are on the ASD spectrum, others have ADHD, and social emotional needs. This presents a challenging task for me to help keep them all on task and focused during instructional time. They struggle to keep up, get frustrated easily, and give up. I see so much potential in them waiting to be unlocked! We are working hard to develop self confidence, by setting and achieving new goals every week.
