My Students
This is my fourth year at a high needs school in the school district of Philadelphia. Our school is located in a high poverty area; therefore, we do not have as many resources and supplies. My students come to school to feel safe and learn. The home life that most of my students live in is not easy and they have to worry about when they will eat again, where they will sleep, etc. This project would help my students be able to learn in an environment where they can forget about what is going on in the outside world and feel safe and enjoy school. These supplies will add to our classroom and make them excited and eager to learn!
My Project
These materials are essential for my students to be able to become responsible individuals as they begin their journey into second grade. They will be able to be organized with all of their work and be proud when doing and completing their assignments. Our district does not provide paper for teachers to be able to help their students, so that is extremely important for us to have! In addition, many of my students do not have any supplies at home so I like to be able to give them some stuff to be able to work at home.
My students in the past have been so grateful and honored when we get a project completed!
