My students need a new Bass Xylophone. We have four basses and two of them are on on their last legs. I have hammered and glued these instruments back together for 14 and 10 years, respectively.

My Students
We are so very fortunate to live in a community that cares so deeply for the arts! The students of LES have adopted this love for the arts and their talents surprise me year after year.
In music class at LES we play instruments....lots and lots of instruments!
Music at LES presents many of our students with their first opportunity to play an instrument. For the vast majority of our kids, they grow to love making music and continue to do so in grades 5-12!
My Project
Students at LES are tired of being "stuck" on one of the broken Bass Xylophones. They are unable to remove the bars without assistance and the bars pop off while the kids play, making their experience more frustrating than rewarding. I hate to see this! Making music should feel good. Period.
A new Bass Xylophone will benefit every student in our school.
Unfortunately, the cost of one of these instruments exceeds my annual budget by about $1,000! In years past I have purchased less expensive xylophones and learned quickly that you get what you pay for!
The most rewarding part of making music is feeling proud of the sound you have created. We really struggle to sound as wonderful as we can on our dilapidated bass xylophones. A new instrument will not only help our sound but will help us feel proud of the music we make!
