This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The STEM related resources I requested in this project will help my students with moderate to severe autism learn basic science concepts like solar system, motion and daily practical life activities that are within their level of understanding. Though science is a broad course, I hope that through the help of some relevant resources they would be given learning opportunities that would introduce them to the world of Science. As students with significant learning needs, the items mentioned in this project would support them in any way possible. I plan to utilize them in a play-based type of teaching or any incidental teaching opportunity in a naturalistic way so it becomes more meaningful to them.
