it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The fourth grade team is a grade level of full of world changers! They have vision, plans, and the energy required to create a better world. We are a diverse community, representing any different languages, even more cultures, and countless skills, gifts, and abilities.
This year has brought a whole new set of challenges to our students as we dive head first into distance learning.
As scholars attending school in a very heavily impacted neighborhood, these students have not had an adequate amount of instruction in academic technology. The huge learning curve has caused much frustration but we are learning new skills daily such as: using a mouse pad, keeping track of multiple windows and tabs, muting your mic, and other basics.
My Project
We are asking for the communities support in purchasing a mouse for each 4th grade students at our school. This classroom tools will help students better navigate this new experience of Comprehensive Distance Learning. Students were given a laptop from the district, but several of the programs we are using are much easier to operate with a mouse. These students are working so hard to build a new set of skills involving academic technology. This grade level set of mice will eliminate one road block, making the road to distance learning a much smoother ride!
