My Project
Now more than ever, it is imperative that students feel relaxed and comfortable in their learning space. It is important that their needs are met so that they are able to do their best without feeling uncomfortable or stressed. The best way to do this is to create a learning environment that is conducive to meeting the needs of all students, not just the few.
I hope to utilize ideas like softer lighting, flexible seating, and accommodated listening to make my classroom more welcoming to my students.
Headphones can allow students to watch and rewatch videos at their own pace. Softer lighting through lamps can give more of a calming effect. Even something as simple as fake plants can make the room feel more welcoming. Furthermore, cushions can allow students who do not work as well at a desk to feel more comfortable.
