My students need a media cart to organize our materials and to project images from our document camera or laptop.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach Technology, Programming and Graphics to 90 high schoolers and we are in desperate need of an upgrade. These are curious, intelligent and motivated young people but they really need better tools to prepare them for life after school.
My kids are amazing young people with creative ideas and a desire to learn and create.
With the right tools, they will be able to do more sophisticated work and practice with tools that they might really encounter in the workplace - at least for the kinds of jobs that students will want and society will need in the near future.
My Project
I work in the computer lab and it is a crazy jumble of wires and it just gets harder and harder to get to work with the kids. The projector needs to be moved, set up and then finally we can get started. Just having these things in the same place every day would make such an incredible difference. Many days, it can take 3-5 critically important minutes to get set up.
Having everything set up on a cart would enable all of my students to see and be involved in the lesson and to get our class started smoothly every time.
Beyond simply being a great tool to keep important tools working well, Students will benefit by being in a more organized classroom and being able to see and use our projector and Elmo better.
