A Mishmash of Wishes!

Help me give my students a mishmash of needs for the classroom! We love lights and need more to continue to engage and motivate them. We have recently found that graphic novels are our jam! We love visuals!

My Project

I have 8 students who are in my multiple disabilities classroom. I teach in a play and motivation based approach with my students. I make sure all of their dignity needs, physical needs, and sensory needs are met before anything else.

We have found what works for us and our interests- graphic novels, "writing'' by using printed pictures on stickers, lights high up and all over the place!

Lights have calmed us down, and now it is understood that we need some higher up and also some that are in a tube so that the cylinder shows off the lights from all angles and for all visual impairment needs. We have gotten hip to graphic novels since they are a story with so much visual support versus just written words.
