This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, Miner Elementary School is hosting its first spelling bee in years. Our students are incredibly competitive and therefore very excited for the schoolwide bee at the end of the month. Of the 40 competitors, three will move on to the regional bee.
The Spelling Bee Planning Committee wants to reward our school bee winners with a Spelling Success Set.
These sets will include Merriam-Webster dictionaries (the official dictionary of the Scripps Spelling Bee), notebooks, highlighters, and various workbook pages to help them study for the district, regional, and hopefully national bees. With your help, we can show everyone that Mighty Miner is the birthplace of champions!
