My Project

Good teachers and our teachers are awesome all recognize that students need to become fluent readers in order to drive comprehension of increasingly rich and complex texts. However, as impressive as many research-based texts are in explaining this component of the science of reading, many fall short of including actionable next steps that are classroom ready.

The Megabook of Fluency contains both the research-informed learning that is valuable for teacher development and the classroom-based activities that provide a truly impressive array of instructional strategies.

One of the best ways that we can help teachers be their most effective in front of students is to provide a finite number of high-quality instructional strategies and materials that will help them maximize planning time by consolidating the resources they require into a manageable set of choices.

Please help me help the teachers on our team understand the theory behind quality fluency instruction as well as provide them with the tools to act upon that knowledge.
